Serving Up Sustainability is a free, one-day workshop where attendees will learn how to reduce their carbon footprint and meet their climate action goals from experts in their field. Topics that will be covered include reducing single-use plastic, how to compost effectively, marketing plant-based food options, and more, all in the realm of food service.
Experts from Humane Action Pittsburgh, visiting organizations, and UPMC partners will communicate high level perspectives on the importance of operating a sustainable enterprise. Participants will then be invited to break out into smaller groups based on their size and industry to be educated on how to employ these tools, including logistics, sourcing, consumer outreach, and more.
