Eastern Pennsylvania State Director

Salary: $1250/month. This position does not provide benefits.

Location: Remote; must reside in Philadelphia


The Eastern Pennsylvania State Director operates as a generalist for the Center for a Humane Economy (“the Center”) and Animal Wellness Action (“AWA”), working to advance our organizational goals for Pennsylvania. The role involves utilizing a wide range of strategies across various animal welfare issues and collaborating with individuals of diverse political views, backgrounds, and beliefs.

The Eastern Pennsylvania State Director (“SD”) will help animals by extending the reach of the organizations’ programs, priorities, and core messaging. The SD will work on a wide range of issues affecting farmed, wildlife, and domesticated animals and regularly cooperate with the leadership of established animal protection organizations in the state.

The position reports to the Director of State Affairs.
